Re: Frog Lube.
The first thing I do now when I buy a gun is strip it down, heat and clean all the metal parts to get out any lube, lather them in froglube, throw them on a tray and then into the oven at 120F for an hour or so. Take it out, wipe it down, reassemble and you're good. First time I shot my ak with corrosive 5.45 I just soaked the barrel and gas system, washed off the other stuff, left the gun in the sun, and my 4th dry patch had only the faintest amount of carbon, and that was after 200+rnds. Everything else just wiped off with no scrubbing at all, then reapplied froglube, left the parts in the sun a little, and reassembled. Hasn't gotten much dirtier since.
Joe, any reason you don't run them on bolt guns?
