Re: Anyone have the M&P Shield?

I love my M&P 45 as well but have yet to try the Shield. Currently have a Ruger SR 40 for my girlfriend to shoot she liked it the most.

Re: Anyone have the M&P Shield?

I have one of these in 40 cal on order at my local fun shop. I will give my thoughts on it once I get some range time with it.

Re: Anyone have the M&P Shield?

i just got mine 2 weeks ago and it shoots like a dream. i am somewhat bias to the m&ps as my other pistol is a m&p pro in 9mm. but this pistol is sweet. the trigger on it is a huge step forward for s&w. i wish this trigger would have been on my pro. also if your looking at wearing it concealed it is perfect you can wear it with the extended mag and a tighter shirt and not print. as far as its shooting. it is the most comfortable shooting compact i have ever shot.i am 500 rounds in and no failures. the only thing i dont like is the grips lack a the grip i like but it will be a easy fix with some grip tape

Re: Anyone have the M&P Shield?

I was surprised at how big it was compared to the Kahr PM series and the Beretta Nano. I'd still like to own one though. I didn't have a very good experience with my first M&P. The slide stop broke off and I had issues with the slide removing material from the frame. I'm going to give it some more time before I decide to purchase one. It seems gun manufacturers let the general public do their beta testing nowadays.

I like my Shield a lot. It's no pocket pistol, that's for sure, but nice and slim for IWB or OWB carry in a holster. Shoots very well for its size.
