RCBS Progressive issues

I'm new to progressive reloading, and I am having trouble getting 223 brass to take a primer reliably. The shellplate doesn't seem to be keeping the casehead aligned when the primer ram seats the primer and the case tilts to one side. I have swaged the brass with the RCBA swager and still 1-2 cases out of every 20 gets a primer crushed. Sometimes I can feel that the primer isn't seating just right and I have to rotate the case until I find the sweet spot but this really slows things down. Is this normal for the RCBS Pro 2000 Auto Index or is my shell plate out of spec?

Also, I notice a fair amount of powder spill as the shellplate indexes into the next position. I can dampen the plate with my finger, but is there a better solution?

Any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Dillon does the same thing for me. I grab a bullet as the plate indexes and set it on the case before the plate does that little 'click' at the end of the movement. Just having my fingers touching a case dampens it like you said. Some powders are worse than others (ie full case of Varget makes a mess). Can't help w/ the RCBS, sorry.

Hi, I have the manual version of your press. What primers are you using? Military brass, or commercial? I've noticed the tilt as well, but haven't crushed primers unless it's a Military case with the crimp not fully removed, or I forgot to torque down the shell plate correctly.
