F T/R Competition Midwest F-Class Championship July 12th @ St. Louis

The 2nd annual Midwest F-Class Championship will be held Thursday, July 12th at St. Louis Benchrest Club in Wright City. This **non-sanctioned** event will consist of four classes, each competing for very nice crystal trophies. F-T/R, F-Open, Bench T/R, and Bench -Open shooters will shoot 3 matches of 20 rounds for a total of 60 rounds for score. Match 1 will have unlimited sighters, while matches 2 and 3 will have 2 sighters.

If you haven't made it to St. Louis Benchrest Club, this will be a great opportunity to experience the hospitality and laid back atmosphere at a world class facility.

The match will start at 8:30am. Match fees are $40 and include lunch.

I have had a couple of questions about the club and location. This is the club's website, and this is a pdf with travel plans. I hope to see several of you at the match. If you are planning to shoot, please post in this thread and let me know. We are expecting a large turnout and it should be a great time!

Looks like a nice match. Do yall ever have 2 day matches. Its a little far for me to drive to a 1 day match. I have been wanting to come up and shoot there.

We haven't done a 2-day F-Class match yet, but I'm planning the State Championship next year to be 2 days.

If you get a few guys together, you could make it a road trip. We have had a couple of shooters come up from Texas this year.

At this club match, we shoot from the bench and from the ground. There are prizes for each class. Since this is the championship, the trophies are very nice.

I'll get a picture of them up later.

We also have 600 yard NRA matches at St. Louis. The next one is July 8th.

I hope everyone had a great Independence Day! We have a NRA Mid-range 88 round match at the club this Sunday the 8th, followed by the Midwest Championship on the Thursday the 12th. I hope to see you there.

I'm thinking about making the trip up. Do I need to pre register or can I just show up Thursday early.
Also, will the range be open Wednesday for a warm up shot or two.

No need to pre-register, but I appreciate the heads up that you are coming. The range will not be open on Wednesday, but there are unlimited sighters on the first round, so you can take your time getting dialed in. Send me a PM if you need anything.

This match will always be on Thursday, but we have plenty of other opportunities to shoot F-Class at the club. We held the first Missouri F-Class State Championship earlier this year and there are a couple of weekend dates remaining for Midrange F-Class. There are 88 round NRA approved matches Sunday, August 2nd and Saturday, October 20th.

Don was right behind Jim Murphy in F-Open. There was some stiff competition. I'm just glad he left the 308 at home or I would have been bumped down one spot farther in F-T/R.
