It crawled from under the couch!

I had a female wolf spider crawl from under my couch last night... It was not alone! It looked like this! Needless to say it died. The one thing that makes me lose my composure is a spider let alone this! I DON'T NEED THIS!

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

Ya man, you really should burn your house down now.

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

You will wake up in the middle of the night, clawing at your face...screaming.

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

Not good! Have you considered moving out of state? Possibly country?

Or lots of hair spray, lighter fluid, starting fluid, a propane torch with quick change tank adapter, etc . ..

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

As I said "Most effective would be the M2A1-7 or the later model M2-2." Google if you do not recognize the designations.

Yes you are correct but some of have average size bank accounts and shop at Walmart!

Cheers

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

In order to conquer my fear of spiders, I watched the above video in its entirety. It appears as though I have conquered nothing.

Was thinking about the correct tool for the job, not the most cost efficient.

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

Dude ... thanks for that. I can't stop itching now. I feel tiny things crawling on me.

Here are the two spiders I have to worry about where I live. We have hundreds, if not thousands of them, all over my property. You learn to love cats both inside and outside your home if you have spiders.

Get a cat!

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

Was anyone else waiting patiently for those two spiders to just break out into a gnarly fingertip gladiator session? I was pretty disappointed...

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

RS,

You are correct on the cats ever time my cat see a spider or any bug for that matter in the house she kills it. And also fun to watch just a plus I guess.

Yeah ... they are fun to watch.

My wife was bitten by a Brown Recluse 3 years ago, and she only weighs a buck 10. They gave her some pretty harsh meds, one of which is used to treat leprosy. The bite finally healed up, but she still gets phantom pains from time to time. Nasty critters!

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

Neither of the videos in this topic are ok. Spiders are not ok on my person. Outside where they eat mosquitos is fine just away from me. I do think it is ridiculous to be afraid of spiders but damn it the big ones I am just not comfortable with.

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

To hell with the dude with the spiders on his hand; very irresponsible.

In one of two times that I was on death's door, getting the "Trip to the Tunnel of Light", I was nailed by a black widow spider.

My degree is in biology, so I know full well the spiders' place in the world, but damn, keep 'em outside, as they all have fangs and can/will inject you with not only venom but brutal amounts of bacteria.

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

I don't know what it is, but spiders really freak me out.
Watching that video almost makes me vomit.

Spiders are the only thing that does that to me.

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

Got a brown recluse bite a couple of weeks ago and it sucked. was about twice the size of a bee sting and itched almost as bad. still have a little blackish bruise at the site of the bite on my arm. Got a lot of them on the equipment that come into the base from all over the world.

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

When my wife and I stayed at a high end hotel near Vancouver B.C., she woke up with 4 little fang bite marks in her left forearm. Her bites were "dry" bites and only itched for a day or two. I wasn't so lucky. I got nailed 3 times in the "taint" and you could clearly see six fang puncture marks.

I ended up having to go to the doctor, show him the wound. He gave me a shot for antibiotics, and a RX for more to take for a ten days or so. I had a bunch of necrotic flesh in a wound about the size of a silver dollar, and it took about six weeks to heal up. Sitting obviously hurt like hell for a while. Once the wound went from necrotic to healing, I can't begin to describe how terribly it itched. There is no socially acceptable way to scratch your taint around polite company. My shooting buddies thought it was funny as hell when I would start digging and scratching.

Ever since then I have had a "thing" against spiders that I never had before. Before getting bitten, I had a live and let live attitude. Now, they all die if I get a chance at them.

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

It's pretty hard to believe what the guy was saying about spiders not intentionally biting you just to be a dick when they bite you all over in your sleep. I've had the same thing happen. Bites all the way down my leg. Clearly spider as evidenced by the 2 fang marks. Why it crawled all the way down my leg biting at random intervals is beyond me. I hate spiders. I'll catch wolf spiders and jumping spiders and throw them outside, but anything else, gets killed.

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

I'd scream like a school girl if I had 1 much less 2 of those spiders on me! That is providing I didn't shoot the house full of holes in my "Fear for my life" state of mind

Re: It crawled from under the couch!

I think I would have moved out after seeing that thing. Had a pet rattlesnake when I was younger but no spiders for me.
