I've read very positive reviews of their M-14 receivers, their AR-15 receivers are priced VERY competetively...

So, what's the difference between this forged receiver, made from the same 7075-T6, same MIL-A-8625 hard coat, as- say- a Noveske at twice the cost?

    The name?

Yes the name and the resale. Try to sell a lrb and a noveske and see which one sells faster and for more$.

I have an LRB lower and it works just dandy, good fit, good quality and no issues. If you buy a lower for under $100 then expect to sell it for only that. Spend more on the Noveske and yes you will get more out of it than the LRB but you've paid for that........ If you need a brand name then spend the extra cash on what ever name floats your boat.

I'll buy more LRB lowers, not a problem!

I have two LRB lowers. fit and finish are outstanding. On top of one sits a Noveske upper. Now that's a great combo.

    Does LRB actually make theirs?

Noveske, like many other 'manufacturers', merely pays to have their name stamped on it.

    Good luck

Built on several. Quality reciever at great price point. Both of the last two builds went together better than the spikes reciever I built up 6 months ago. They have some flashing on the trigger well but the outside is finished nicely.

I used an LRB lower on a build and the fit and finish was flawless. At the time, everyone was out of them and LRB is located about 15 minutes from my home so it was a no brainer.

I would use one again without hesitation. As I said, the fit was true milspec and the finish was even and hard throughout. I have several thousand rounds through mine and the lower still looks new.

I own two uppers and lowers. Great product. Never had any problems to date. Inexpensive is different then "cheap".
