Guys I scored on 3lbs of unopened H870 and was wondering does anyone have and load data for 140grn bullet in the 264win mag!?

When I was a kid I ran H870 in a 7 mag under 175's and got right at 2900 fps. It shot well. I dropped my first elk at 375 yards with it one day and then shot a mulie buck the next day with the same load. There might be some old 264 data in one of my old speer books. I'll look when I get home. I remember it liked hot primers like the win lr mag and fed 215.

It will work. Hodgdon shows 63.5 grains as max for Retumbo. With a reloading software I have, it shows 74 grains of H870 as near max with a 140 SST. It might be hard to get that much in that case. I have used H50BMG in the 7 Mag with the 180 VLD's many times with good results.

Guys it shot WELL with 74grns with the 140 VLD with room for more! Got to dark for my chrono will verify when I get back in town on next week...............I'M STOKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
