    Our 4th ended with a BANG... literally. Not sure what we were thinkin not pulling the barrel and threading it for our can, but regardless, the stick performed.
    One of my good buddies came over to pick up an ammo order, and I told him to throw in his rifle (custom STW) and we would engage some steel @ my 1200yd range.
    After confirming dope, he engaged a 12" piece of AR 500 @ 1150yds, being a spotter and watching the vapor trail of these 3 consecutive shots made me realize it will probably be a while before I see this again.

    His life is ruined. Its like a friend who on his first hunt shot a record elk which ran into the access road and died in the middle of the road. Just drove right up to it and loaded it up. What can he look forward to now?!

    Holy shit!! Have thought about an stw or 6.5x284, don't think I could pull that but is impressive!! What are the specs on the rifle and who built it? And what is the barrel life like on the stw? Have 7rm so would actually make more sense to go that way. Thanks!!

    not surprised at all by that accuracy, the 7STW is the shit, mine died at a hair under 800 rds. RIP.

    The owner (guy pictured) bedded the receiver himself, the action is a single shot McMillan, we are not sure of the barrel manufacturer or the builder (may be McMillan), we do know it shoots the 175smks very well, and the trigger is almost too light.

    Ridiculous shooting! Never seen groups like that at that range before. I'd be dancing a jig if my groups were three times that size. Nice job.

    Hey thanks skinney, is definitely some food for thought on my next build. Need another project to pour my hard earned green into! For the wife to shake her head at as well!
