Horse Soldiers of 9/11
Stumbled across the movie and trailer on some other forum I frequent. It is a mission I have never read about and the movie looks to be a tribute to our warriors first in Afghanistan after 9/11. It is narrated by Gary Sinise so it should indeed be a tribute, IMHO.

That was awesome.... Thanks for this post. A friend of mine on the West Coast built a bunch of saddles and sent over for some of these guys. I saw a photo he had of his saddles in use.

Read the book Firs In it's about the first CIA team in who then guided the SF guys in. It's a good book, written by the team leader.

The book was great. Amazing the conditions they had to work in, the idiots they had to work with, and how despite everything it worked...

Canadian singer/songwriter Corb Lund wrote a song inspired, in part, by this book:

I liked the book. Hope they give a serious approach to the movie and not a "Bourne/Transporter" one.

From the trailer in the link, it looks as though they have done a stand-up job on it. IMO having Gary Sinise narrating it says it should be worth a look as he has always supported our troops.

Nice, I enjoyed the book. Spent a fair amount of time working in that part of Afghanistan the past few years and it sure was interesting readin while I was out there. Will be on the look out for the movie

Started the book this past week after finishing Red Circle, another good read. Horse soldiers is an awesome story that I have never heard of before seeing it on online. Hats off to all of our Spec Ops guys AND pilots, amazing bunch!
