Recently received my Spartan .260 and am amazed with this weapon! To keep it short, consistent tack driver! Thanks Marc @ Spartan!
I went cheapo on the paint/camo for the upper but can change fast for the season/hunt:)

Marc builds hammers. Not enough guys here know of his work because he's too busy building rifles to spend a bunch of time on here.

All the work he's done for me has been top notch and VERY reasonable turnaround times.

Is that NP3 or micro-slick on the bolt?

Here's the kicker...on the plate, the "splats" connected in green, were shot at 725 yds, 5 shots, by 4 shooters! No kidding, I got 2 shots, gf got 1, 15yr old son got one, and the landowner, who is now going to get Marc to build him a rifle, shot 1. All hits/no misses. It was HOT, like 102F hot at 93%rh. So it's not me that's a good shot, it's the Spartan built rifle.

What are ya launchin outta that thing? 139-140's or 120's? powder? super jealous, mine will do that, but I gotta wear ear pro when I do it.

Congrats on that stick, the 260 spoiled me the first time I shot it. Doesn't help me work on my wind calls either.

You're welcome Scott I'm glad you like it. Have you smoked any coyotes with it yet? Did ya'll shoot that 725 yard group with the suppressor on it?

No furry critters in scope...yet. We, NW La./east Tx, have a piggie problem too. Can't wait. Have only shot it with suppressor on it. (spoiled) I'm pushing SMK 140's with 42.0g of H4831SC @ 2750fps. Funny it was the first, and why not, last load I'll be using...except probably going to 142g SMK b/c of the higher BC.

I've had Marc build me four rifles over the past year or so (one .308 bolt gun, two .260 bolt guns, and an AR10 in .308). They are all hammers. Marc is a stand up guy.

Great looking rifle and looks to be quite the shooter. Love the "pipe fitter's steel stand"- great idea! It's nice when guns perform as good as they look. Kinda like meeting girls: good looks will get you noticed, but there better be something more.

That weapon was dripping condensation at 7am when taking that pic. Had to dry it off. Makes for great round traces:)

Is that a SH 2012 builder I hear? Some distant rumblings?

He did a great job on the NCPPRC builds, I expect more great work if he does a hide build. Marc did a super job on the 260 he built for me, and Todd finished it off with Ionbond and Cerakote.

If Marc does the 2012 SH build, it would be great if he used
--Seekins DBM system/AICS mags
--Ionbond

If I'm not mistaken, you put that Spartan .260 in your hands and immediately went to take 1st in the 200-1000 yard match. That was an eye-opener for me.
