I started P90X (for probably the 3rd time haha) about 3 months ago. I got halfway into the 2nd month and ended up pulling my chest and couldnt do any of the chest exercises anymore. So at that point I jumped on the Insanity train (for the 2nd time haha) and did that for about a month.

P90X was giving me some crazy results on muscle buidling, but I wasnt dropping that much weight.
Insanity was making my cardio performance crazy, but I was loosing a lot of the muscle I put on during P90X.

So Monday (7/9/12) I started the dreaded Hybrid haha P90X AND Insanity.

Just wondering if anyone has done this before? Heck maybe someone wants to jump in here and join me?! Its gonna be a blast!

Re: Anyone doing/done the P90X/Insanity Hybrid?

First I started P90x training program a year ago which is quite wonderful training which really helped me a lot to make my body fit and strong . I used to continue it for almost 6 months , then i tried to move from p90x to Insanity which was not bad at all . So I didn't find any problem by doing both but I found P90x the better than insanity because it contains variety of workouts so you have more room to stay fit and make your parts of body more strong .

Re: Anyone doing/done the P90X/Insanity Hybrid?

I am on week six of P90x but just sprained my wrist so it's a ten day hold for me. During that time, I am continuing my 3 miles per day on the tread mill and stretching. I expect to finish the P90x lean program about Sep 1st.

The core workouts have really helped my issues with low back and neck pain, it's gone for the most part.

Never heard of the hybrid but I'm in the middle of the insanity workout. Its cardio is we INSANE!!!

Re: Anyone doing/done the P90X/Insanity Hybrid?

I found a "Create Your Own Hybrid" Excel sheet and it lets you mix Insanity-Asylum-P90X-P90X+ together

Makes it hard to ever get bored with the program!

Nice, I'll have to look that up once I finish the Insanity. That is hard enough for me right now!

Re: Anyone doing/done the P90X/Insanity Hybrid?

Just a few weeks into the P90X and it is a great program. Figured it was time to get back into shape and the wife wanted to try it. It is great so far, but the diet SUCKS for someone who is as active as me. I am freaking starving all the time!

Re: Anyone doing/done the P90X/Insanity Hybrid?

I do insanity 2-3 times a week and mixed in with my normal 5 days of gym workouts. I'm the head coach of a local HS soccer team and it seems to work well enough. At 36 I can still keep up with the guys during pick up games (just not every day, lol).

Re: Anyone doing/done the P90X/Insanity Hybrid?

I decided to try P90X after seeing results on a friend. I don't follow the diet plan, but eat healthy and cycle over a hundred miles a week.

I'm impressed with the program.

I now have much respect for yoga peeps.

Im not saying the Yoga is easy, not by any means. But Lord in Heaven its long and drawn out I hate that day haha Thats another reason I went to Hybrid, you only do the Yoga during the recovery week
