Well i went ahead and done it. I ordered my Gap-10
Specs:
308 cal
20" barrel
Magpul PRS FDE
Upgraded trigger to DMR
Rifle finished in FDE
full length hand guards
Noveske switch block
Threaded muzzle with protector
Now comes the long wait!!!!!!!!!

they will install my break for my can.

they told me 5 months, its only been 3 days and it is already killing me.
i have plenty of time to look for scopes and other accessaries. But i will probable put the same scope i have on my Rem 700 308 R5. Its a Nightforce 5.5x22x50 with MOAR recital. I love that scope.

They told me 5 months too... Im also waiting on a can. So xmas is going to be a little early this year. Thats assuming I dont go crazy over impatience on my part before then.

Man, those sound like great guns! I like the 20" barrel choice on the 08. I recently did one @ 22 5/8. The 6 creed is something I'm dying to try. I think i'll be ordering a Brux for a 6 creed project soon.

wow, i ordered one a few weeks ago as well. same 5 month lead time. similar specs except i went w/ 18.5" barrel and black. they're going to be sending a few to Louisiana around the same time i guess. right now it looks to be between Thanksgiving and Christmas before i see mine if all goes well.

I ordered mine on March 6 and got an email today that FedEx picked it up for delivery to my local gun shop. Guess that makes it a hair over 4 months. Nothing too custom on mine. It's a 308, 20", all done in mil spec OD green so I can use that as base coat for a custom camo job.

My Confession:
Last night I told my wife I was going to the Pool Supply Store to get some chemicals, and I actually did. I also went to my local gun shop where my new GAP 10 had arrived the day before by FedEx. Got home and hid the gun and case in my garage. This morning when my oldest daughter and wife went for a jog, I moved the case into our room. My two year old daughter was happy to help me open it as she loves latches. I then proceeded to slip the beautiful new rifle into my gunsafe. Now I have to secretly mount my Nightforce scope and Atlas bipod. Am I really that bad?

the only problem i have with trying to hide it, is that she does the bills. I figure it is easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for approval. All I had to do was buy her something and we are all good. she dont say much but when i starting spending 3600.00 for a gun, 2000.00 for a scope, 300 for base and rings plus extra mags, ammo and of course a 1200.00 can she says it might be a bit much. Of course she only finds out when the bill comes it. then its to late. Now am i really that bad.

It sucks that alot of woman are like this, that we have to feel the need to hide stuff from them. I was gonna do something similar and I finally just said to mine out of the blue the other night at dinner that I was gonna order this Gap 10. She freaked when I told her the cost, but at least when it comes I'm in the clear. Just show her and deal with it now. Congrats on the new stick, I'm sure it's awesome. Take her with ya to shoot it. Make it an us thing.

Haha. I'll be doing the same thing in a week with a new bolt gun. You are not alone. My wife and I have an unspoken "don't ask don't tell" policy when it comes to guns. Look at it this way. Better you do that than sneak out to meet another woman.

Mine is the same way. It definitely helps but every once in a while she'll ask "How many guns <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">do</span></span> you have?". That's when I mumble a lot. Haha.

They told me 8 months lead on 8/23.

Ordered my GAP-10 March 26 and was quoted 2-4 months....STILL waiting nearly 6 months later. Got an email about a week ago saying my rifle was in the beginning stages of production. This wait had been horrendous haha but I know it will be worth it, I just hope I have it by Halloween or I'm going to have to make some changes to my hunting trip.

They told me 8 months so its only 7 months 21 days 14 hrs and 26 minutes but who's counting. Any way it will give time to get a scope and bullets and powder and primers.

Finally got the call today! 2 Days shy of 6 months on a 2-4 month quote...she'll be in the mail this week after a quick Geissele trigger upgrade.
