Sling studs or Flush cups????

I recently ordered a T4A from Manners, and have been mulling it over in my brain whether or not I get flush cups on the bottom, or keep it as sling studs. I have Flush cups on the left and right already. What are your opinions? Studs or cups on the bottom?

Re: Sling studs or Flush cups????

On my stock I kept only one stud and that was for the bipod. Stock flows better with only one thing protruding.

Re: Sling studs or Flush cups????

On the fore end put one flush and one stud on the bottom. Flush cups on either side too. As previously stated, you may need a stud for mounting a bipod. If you do put a flush cup on the fore end, make sure there is enough space between it and the stud so that after mounting a bipod (Harris) you can access the flush cup.

For the stock butt I would put 3 flush cups--1 left, 1 right and 1 bottom. A stud gets in the way of bags and your hand.

(Look at the bottom of the page. There are several adapters)

Good luck. </div></div>

Great idea. Contemplating the same thing myself.

Re: Sling studs or Flush cups????

I've been thinking on this too as I'm gonna place my order tomorrow.

I want cups on the left, 1 on the right rear and 1 stud up front for a bipod. I don't want or plan to use studs for a sling but was thinking do I want to spend the extra $30 to get the 2 extra cups on the bottom just for the sole purpose of the stock having more appeal if I decide to sell it?

AND, I want to find out if they've made the move to give the option of limited turn cups. Those are the only way to go, the full turn "normal" cups suck IMO cause the allow the sling to rotate and get twisted up and the rifle to roll while slung.

...

Re: Sling studs or Flush cups????

It's probably just me, but I have switched back to studs on most of my rifles. Until these flush cups come with anti-rotation stops in them, I will stick to studs. My slings end up all twisted when installed in the flush cups, because they have nothing to stop the rotation. Really more annoying than anything.
