Alternative choice to push-button sling loops on bolt guns?

Would hard users embrace bolt gun stocks with attach points for HK/MASH hooks & Para clips?

The Cobras cannot be undone when under a load.
I faintly suspected I had forgotten something about the Cobra mechanism! I had somehow thought it worked exactly oppositely. Glad you’re on top of it!

I should’ve listened to my interior voice and taken a minute to research.

80% of life success is remembering the lessons you already learned lol sigh

Depending on what kind of scenario a user would need to rapidly un-ass a rifle under sling tension, wouldn’t a knife or strap cutter be an option, allowing the sling mount to be robust and uncomplicated? I say that assuming a knife is already readily available in such a scenario.

Gross motor skill vs fine?

I'm not referring to an emergency.

If the rifle is slung on the back, getting off without getting hung up on kit or pulling helmet/comms off isn't easy.

A 14 to 18 lb rifle strapped around you and your gear will usually = a pretty taught sling.
A simple Fastex buckle in the middle allows the user to get cotrol of the rifle and pop the sling apart to get it off easily and quickly with no real fine motor skills.

Even in "an emergency" like getting dunked, popping the Fastex buckle would be faster than drawing a knife and cutting away.

TAB Gear has been making a great sling with this feature for years.
