Who makes accurate AK-47's

Re: Who makes accurate AK-47's

Krebs, or get a job in a gun shop and ck em out (testfire) until you get one that meets your standards

Re: Who makes accurate AK-47's

Not sure why you are worried about having most accurate AK. I would save money and get a WASR. They shoot 4-5 MOA and you can hit a person at 300M. Why break the bank customizing a high end AK. Get a cheap one, leave it stock, buy an AR for accuracy.

I heard the SKS is more accurate than the AK, but I don't have experience with them.

If you want a "tack-driving AK" than you'll just be disapointed, but if your not concerned about groups or taking T-zone shots at 400 yards an AK will work just fine. Take a look at M+M inc, M10 ak47. They're brand new rifles straight from Romania w/ cold hammer forged barrels, pretty nice.

Minute of Man? You've been hanging around Suarez......

To the dude shooting 3/4 inch groups you must have it in a vice, because that is unreal. [/quote]

No, Im a gunsmith and can do trigger jobs on Arsenals.

And one other thing, LEARN TO SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER! Proper trigger control will make up for the stock trigger.

And the stock trigger on most AR's SUCKS too...

Re: Who makes accurate AK-47's

Valmet would be tops, but I've never seen one personally. I've owned Saigas, Arsenals, and VEPRs. My Arsenal 7.62 x 39 was a 2 MOA shooter with Wolf ammo. My Arsenal SGL-31 (5.45 x 39) shoots Silver Bear to <1.5 all day. The VEPRs are better. I got mine at one source tactical, The VEPRs are not cheap, but next to a Valmet, it's the way to go.

Re: Who makes accurate AK-47's

The SKS has some accuracy potential, but unlike the AK, it can also respond to bedding. I beddded mine similarly to how one beds a Garand and it got a lot better. The Choate Dragunov uses an accuracy wedge that snugs the action up very nicely and this also improves accuracy.

I'm not hip to getting rifles like the AK or SMLE, with two piece stocks, to respond to bedding. I think that such rifles may or may not have the same potentials for load development and accuracy as one piece stock systems do. At any rate, I see the 7.62x39 (M43) round as a sorta 30PPC (if that's not completely unreasonable), and have had a long, if intermittent, love affair with the cartridge.

I think the cartridge has good potential, but I also think that the SKS is the rifle to do the semiauto development with.

I think the Savage Scout is an even better one for the job, and that's where I'm doing my current development, using the HDY 110gr V-Max. Right now, I'm into H-4198 and IMR-4895.

The SKS trigger is..., enh... Working on it is a good way to turn the rifle irrevocably into a full auto. Don't mess with it, you'll just end up needing to replace it. There are folks who make their livings doing them, and I think they are magicians (that which is indistinguishable from magic is magic).

This is where the Savage Scout with its Accu-Trigger and Accu-Stock comes into my picture.

I don't care who you are or what your background.
I happen to know a little bit about how to shoot myself.

And 3/4 inch groups with just you, a sling and your AK47 are nearly unheard of.

So sorry, I'll go so far as to call bullshit. And I'd put my money where my mouth is if your ever in my area.
