Berger 185 Juggernaut

Has anyone ran or running the 185 Juggernaut by Berger in a 308? If so how are you loading them? What kind of performance are you getting?

I just started with the 185 juggernaut in .308Win. According the to data provided by Berger I am close to 2600fps using IMR4895. It seems to "prefer" jumping, but I haven't shot enough to say anything definite. I've been able to shoot under a half inch with it jumping 0.120", COL under 2.800", easily fits in magazines. If this pans out, and if these don't turn into unobtainium, this is a candidate for a general purpose match round for .308. The claimed BC is only a few thousandths less than Berger's 185 match hybrid, and I can get to 1,000 yards with it. One round, one ballistic table, etc. F class, tactical matches, etc.

I haven't shot it long range yet.

The downside is they're $48.00 per hundred online.

thats only $24 for 50.when the 210 SMK's for 50 are alot more.for the most part it all pans out in some way or another

LR results:

800 yards: 145-3X/150
900 yards: 146-6X/150
1,000 Yards: 178-2X/200

= 469-11X/500

While I am not happy with the 1,000 yard score, I know why it is as bad as it is, and it ain't the bullet.

I think this one's a keeper.

Edit: the load data provided by Berger which I used, plugged into jbmballistics' excellent online calculator, worked almost exactly. Pushing this at about 2600fps.

I have 20 loaded u with 44gr of varget.

I haven't shot them yet but I let you know.

I am running the BErger 175 TAc OTM and I am getting 2728 fps right now. Not sure if I am going to benefit myself with the 185's
