I had one, it would be suitable for a rimfire, not anything larger IMO.

the durability on the crossfire 1 line was the reason they were upgraded to the crossfire 2. i never messed with the 32x version

Yea, I had the Crossfire 1. It worked ok on the .223, but issues with tracking became obvious after only a few firings on a 308. I assume they fixed the issue with the new crossfire line. Vortex will have me as a customer if they continue to take care of consumers the way they took care of me. Buy with confidence, trust me if it doesnt work they WILL fix it until you are happy.

It will work on your benchrest rimfire no problem. Where they ran into problems was on the larger then 308's. Should you have any problem Vortex will replace or fix till you are happy! They have the best CS in the industry!

I have a 4x12 Crossfire on my Savage FV-SR, and a 1.5x4 Crossfire on a .308 handi rifle. No issues with either. I'll continue to buy Vortex. The model you want will do fine on a .22
