Rifle Scopes Ring height for USO 58mm Scope on AR flat top

Just got a USO SN3 5-25 with a 58mm objective. I need to get some rings for it so that it will clear the rail on a flat top AR (6.5 Grendel)

I saw the sticky at the top, but I wanted to ask some of you experienced guys to be certain.

Also, any thoughts on a QD base? Pros or cons?

We have customers running 58mm T-Pals with our 1.45" high mount on flattops of various types (AR's, DTA's, etc). That's about as low as you can go.

Thanks for the info. Called Badger and they got me the exact model I needed. Mount is in the mail and costs about half as much as the USO offering. Not QD, unfortunately, but I'll cope.

Should have just listened to you and bit the bullet. Now I've got to get rid of the Badger mount (doesn't have the MOA adj. necessary) and order this one anyhow.

You might be able to use Larue's LT-112 which has a ring height of 1.535” and 20moa built in. I'm getting the VFZ version with 34mm rings for my 50mm HDMR, $214 before tax or shipping.

Larue makes some good mounts. I have one for another scope. I think I'm going to count this as a lesson learned and go with what is known to work.
