Brother sent me this pic. off his phone today from Bow hunting in the Utah, Paunsaugunt Unit . He been saving points for years & finally snagged a Tag .
He went down there on the 14th & scouted for 4 days prior to the 18th of opening .
Said ..." big bucks were plentiful & HOG 4-points were a dime a dozen ."

That's a nice buck. A douche from my work drew a rifle tag this year with 14 points for the same area. the gunt holds many nice deer

I had an elk tag there three years ago n I saw plenty of nice bucks in the area.

Don't understand that ? It is a Buck & it is In-Season . It looks Beautiful .
You also will be glade to hear that my brother immediately that day of the kill started to Hypo the Velvet w/50-50 alcohol & formaldehyde mix . It will be a good Rack on the wall . Not that big a score on the Rack but it has good mass on the main & base . Not bad for Bow hunting .
Bow hunting Solo, In Velvet, also is much harder on the stalk & takes higher skill level . As the Bucks are not alone & still grouped-up and running together . You got more than one set of eyes that will bust your ass before getting the shot .

Back to the Paunsaugunt Unit talk . Brother been bow hunting for a lot of years in different States . Said it was some of the best Bow Hunting he ever got there in that Unit .
Got a stalk every day but one . Said got a stalk on a big 200 & on 190 class but got busted on the 200 by another Buck standing next to Buck behind a juniper with only few feet to go to get the shot . Then was stalking the 190 and the wind switched & he had to back-out & not spook and run them out the area .
That unit has plentiful NICE big mass bucks . Good genetics and minerals .
