Recent CCA Work...

We've been swamped, but wanted to take a quick moment and share some of the neat projects we've helped folks with... This is kind of a hodge podge of work mind you, but it can give you an idea what's out there, and what your local smith may be able to do for you.

First, we were honored to win the weekly nation wide cerakote coating contest with this entry... We hand built this 1911 from fusion frame and slide, wilson, and nighthawk parts and put this coating scheme on the weapon to make it a one-of-a-kind finish:

Re: Recent CCA Work...

We also built quite a few other weapons recently... A few examples of what type of things can be had right here in Iowa by Iowa builders:

Total custom camo job:

6.5 Creedmoor built on a Mega MATEN one piece upper/quad and lower matching set (coated in nickel boron)... *on a side note, if you find these upper/quad sets you better be buying them. They just lost a lawsuit and can no longer build these as they are, so they are certainly coveted...

A little custom fade camo job on a complete CCA build up on the Howa 1500 action:

A complete CCA build on a Defiance action, Mike Rock barrel, Tribal camo with tons of extras:

This one, we're keeping... I can't bare to get rid of it... This was actually our first full auto 1919A4 build with a Colt 1928 tripod with brass T&E mechanism... We built it some time ago, but recent coated it and fully finished it... We chambered it in 8mm.

Oh, and life wouldn't be complete without a couple of comm block goodies to boot. We snagged these the other day and neither needed much work other than some cosmetics... A full auto PKMS and RPK... LIKE!

Absolutely awesome stuff. That 1911 looks killer!

Great to see some locals doing top-notch work.

RAL 8000 via cerakote (H series)

i'll admit i was suspect at first, but it turns out that i really like the color and considering it has a very 'earthy clay' to it, it seems to blend well around here for most seasons with the exception of winter...
