After a long time of staying away from class 3 weapons I am thinking about jumping in with both feet. I wanted to get some thoughts on the setup I am toying with:

- LWRC PSD in 556
- Delta P Compact Suppressor
- EoTech EXPS3

What will I use it for, who knows, I just want it. Does anyone have experience with a setup like this, particularly around the reliability of the weapon with a Delta P suppressor.

Re: Thinking of jumping into a class 3

In AZ you should be able to find a class 3 dealer, buy what you want, and then wait for the paperwork to go through BATF right? Also I would be careful of NFA trust unless you've done it before as they can be picky about the wording/check every box sort of stuff.

Amen on BCP's advice on the trust. Find a competent and experienced lawyer whose done a lot of these things. Do not get you a form off of the internet. Doing your own legal work is a lot like taking out your own appendix.

Re: Thinking of jumping into a class 3

Gt mine setup in the form of a trust from a fairly local lawyer (couple of hours away) was painless and worth the security.
I have an 11.5" barreled AR that I run with a Liberty Torch QA that is very reliable and fairly quiet (for a 223)
Jump in you won't be disappointed.

Re: Thinking of jumping into a class 3

Thanks! If anyone knows a good lawyer in AZ that does these please let me know. I definitely agree this is not a candidate for DIY. Has anyone handled the PSD or Delta P suppressor specifically?

Re: Thinking of jumping into a class 3

Didn't see anyone else mention it, but the PSD's barrel length is under 10" from memory and as such most suppressor manufacturers won't warranty their cans on barrels that short because of excessive blast baffle wear and because baffle strikes are more prevalent due to lack of velocity to stabilize the round.
