I just got back from a trip to Europe; I tried to log in here while in Austria and was redirected to a page saying it was a restricted site due to undesired content. Didn't have this problem in any other countries I was in.

So what did you guys do to offend the good people of Austria?

Here's the page: http://restrict.dkom.at/

Re: What did you guys do to Austria?

I'd bet this is some kind of local filter on ISP or public computer system (if you were in some inet caffe). I know here in libraries they have content based filters to prevent "certain" activities...

Re: What did you guys do to Austria?

Go österreich navy!!!

How will you name Wiener schnitzel now?

Freedom fries with....?

Re: What did you guys do to Austria?

"How will you name Wiener schnitzel now?"

Same as we always have, Fried Chicken.

Re: What did you guys do to Austria?

It's probably 'cuz of all the Glock bashing on this site.

Re: What did you guys do to Austria?

It was a filter by whoever was providing internet access. Same thing happened to me while taking the boat from England to Ireland.

Re: What did you guys do to Austria?

It's a content filter from the ISP. I worked at Warner Bros. once and they blocked porn and gun sites. I was left with no other option but to work...

Re: What did you guys do to Austria?

I used to go to an Applebees in Utah that had SH blocked for guns. I bitched enough about it in my surveys that they eventually gave in and allowed it. Win!

Re: What did you guys do to Austria?

Possibly. It happened in four different cities across the country at different food places which is what raised my eyebrow. Oh well, home again with full access.

Re: What did you guys do to Austria?

At work websites that deal with weapons are restricted. Just to prove restrictions are useless I have used Ultrasurf.us with better than 95% success accessing websites like SH.

Now days I just use my phone as a hotspot.

Couldn't you just work instead?

That's odd. My ex-wife was german, and she always said that here in the US we have adulterated the term. It was always made with strictly veal or pork in our house.

She went on to say that you might as well call Schnitzel in the US ... "Fried Meat".

LOL. Surprisingly we get paid to get the work done, not how many hours we spend or don't spend on a job. Lately we are working over 50 hours a week (no overtime/comp time) During lunch I like to know the latest minute of duck story or order stuff from Midway, Grafs, Brownells all which are formally blocked,
