Well, after searching and searching I haven't found a good answer on how to easily strip krylon off an ar-15 so I tried about everything. I will list from lease effective to most. Hope this helps someone. I ended up using aircraft stripper. This also removed Rustoleum primer from the firearm. Also this does not work well on plastics.
Graphitti Krud Kutter
Acetone
Laquer Thinner
BRAKLEEN
Automotive Paint Remover
Aircraft Stripper.
The aircraft stripper works awesome if you are going to just repaint the firearm.

The aircraft stripper just bubbles the paint up and is removed by a cleaning brush.

The acetone worked ok, but did not remove it as easily as airplane stripper.
