I have it on my DVR , fell asleep early. Guess I know what to expect now. i'll give it a peak and see how bad it really is . Speaking of Falling Skies, i have yet to watch that either.

Anyone else notice the EOTechs on the SMGs in the militia camp? lol
I was very dissapointed with the first episode, I'll give it a few to see if it gets legs but I dunno.
If the lights went out I have no doubt there would be mass riots and real problems particularly in cities, but there were gov't and democracies before there was electricity. I guess I'm having a hard time with the fall into tyranny meme they seem to be fostering.
Although its possible I'm just too sensitive to this stuff these days.

so no more electricity and we are back to crossbows and flintlocks. I had great expectations for this show but once again NBC relased a high budget, drama filled, piece of garbage chick flick.

one more chance to get good tonight but it is doubtfull, I don't mind the hunger games style but the drama is a big turn off for me.

Oh man, I saw the commercials for this and thought "Oh, no, not another 'Prepper' reality TV documentary." Hey, if there's a way for the mainstream media to make a buck off TEOTWAKI, they'll do it. Are doing it. Me, I'm watching old westerns on netflix streaming, it's cheaper and safer than prozac.

It's a goofy plot with some weird characters, but I'll continue to record it on my DVR and play it for background noise while I surf the net. It does make one think having a suppressed .22 semi-auto rifle and pistol would make you a king.

Of course we are back to crossbows and flintlocks...it is an NBC show. Isn't an anti-gun clause written into their corporate by-laws?

Its based on being a short walk from Chicago Illinois which has been damn near reduced to Crossbows and Flintlocks as we speak . No surprise that 15 years after the power goes out that a couple guys with a Chrome Desert Eagle and a Rem 700 sniper rifle between them rule the land

This show has so many plot holes it's just stupid such as the magical amulet that makes electricity work... locally. Worse though somehow the computer is networked which takes power, uggh. It's really fun to make fun of though so I keep watching it.

The traditional broadcast networks just keep reinforcing the point they are either unable or unwilling to produce television that matches the quality -- from the standpoint of realism and compelling <span style="font-style: italic">grown-up</span> story writing -- of the cable-only networks, esp. FX and AMC.
