Rifle Scopes Which scope would you pick for .22 ?

Re: Which scope would you pick for .22 ?

I can't speak to the Hawke? But I bought a 6-24 Crossfire on a close out deal early in the year for $99. It is one of the best buys a have had all year! Not only is it a great .22 scope? It is backed by the best CS in the gun business.
I have several Vortex scopes up to the PST and it is just a great product line!

I always recommend looking at Mueller for a budget rimfire scope. They are pretty hard to beat for the price. I'd like to pick up the APT myself.

I 2nd that question.

For general use, I've been real happy with Nikon rimfire scopes. For more demanding activities, like smallbore silhouette, I mounted a NF compact scope.

Suppressed Varmint control at night and Target Shooting ..mostly my issues but I just got spoiled on the higher magnification ..will most likely just run on 10-12x ...but if I want to change out and put on my CZ in .17HMR or my AR I'm still covered

Re: Which scope would you pick for .22 ?

I'v got Bushnell's on my .22 all are the Elite 3200. You get a clear and good scope for the buck. Buy a quality scope even for a .22. I learned it the hard way: before I had some scope made in China that were pure junk.

Re: Which scope would you pick for .22 ?

Put a Nikon Prostaff rimfire 4x on my daughters' compact 10/22. Nice little scope for $100 and gets the job done. FYI, It's parallax is set at 50yrds.

Re: Which scope would you pick for .22 ?

As long as it's NOT made in china, you're off to a good start. i like bushnell elite 3200's on my 22's and the rebate they have for 75 back right now is sweet. But whatever works for you is what you should use. The Bushnells work fantastic for me personally. Good luck with yer new purchase

Re: Which scope would you pick for .22 ?

i went with a sidewinder, well here's the story...

Hawke Sidewinder 30 8x32 56mm review & problem?

i was expecting much better as they usually get great reviews and for a scope over 400.00 it was a let down. tried 2 of them, both the same issues with clarity on higher power. couldn't be coinsidence.

for 100.00 less, i went with this:

Nikko Stirling Targetmaster 6-24xx 56mm review

and was pleasantly surprised.

no personal experience with vortex, but looking through them at the range they appear to be of better ocular quality than the hawke.

for a critter getter at night, a surprising candidate: the centerpoint 4-16 at walmart. use weakened batteries though, the lowest setting on the illuminated reticle still drowns out the sight picture at night. for under 100.00 it's a pretty good scope, and you don't feel like your "in it" for alot of $.

i'm too spoiled on high magnification, SF and gizmos but have a beer budget. that nikko has satisfied me on most things i was looking for.
