Ordered my first Bush Monkey brand knife last week. Jeff has already sent me pics of the finished product. This is his Brute model in 3/16" O-1 tool steel.

It'll go in my bug-out bag for the end of days . . .

what kind of money are we talking? looks interesting...

Pretty neat. Are the two little groves in the thumbstop for traction or something else?

    Thanks guys.

I'm not much of a "knife guy", but I like this guy's style, and the fact that I had a say in the design. While the basic shapes are chosen from his collection of different models, I was able to dictate the steel, thickness, finish, grind, handle design, handle color, bolt options, and the jimping (the grooves at the top of the thumb stop). I also requested an extended pommel, and MOLLE Kydex sheath.

Mine was $250 out the door, which is the higher end of his price range. Check his website for more details, including the gallery for a taste of his options.

Jeff is a standup guy and a FINE knifemaker. He made a run of over 20 knives for some marines who recently deployed and his Bushcrafter and Big Bend models are some of my favorite knives. His knives are simple and strong, everything you need and nothing you don't. He is a generous and patient guy - a pleasure to know.
