I've tried the Wheeler and didn't like it because on some barrels you have to tighten it so much that it crushes the wood blocks. I now use something like this along with a couple of index cards for protection. http://www.sinclairintl.com/.aspx/sid=69...49006352_d_5578

I'll put in a recommendation for the Brownells system.
They have bushings specific to each application that fit and work better than any of the multi-fit systems.

Yep. Buy a couple packs of the sheet lead shims, too.
