I need some help. I currently have a Tag Gear molle belt that I have been using and it works ok. This one:

I don't shoot comps so I don't think I want a stiff ass over/under USPSA style belt set up but I think I do want to try some kind of over/under belt set up rather than the padded molle style I have. Or do I?

I would just like something rigid and comfortable with less bulk to mount a pistol and a few mag pouches on for range use. No larping or SHTF in mind.

    Any suggestions?

There are a lot of different options. Do you have a price range? Here are a couple options.

    Crye Range Belt

    Grey Ghost Range Belt
That Crye range belt is a good belt too. I have one and use it every time I'm at the range. Only crummy part is it's really only most valuable with Crye's inner belt. Which only ships with their stupid MRB belt right now. I think a couple of years ago they announced a solo inner belt that's coming but I have yet to see it.

    Why is that?

Having a range belt with the inner and outer belt combo, allows you to wear the inner belt like a regular belt and then you can attached the outer belt at any time once you are looking to shoot/be on the range. Much more convenient.
Oh I gotcha. I though you were saying that it only works best with an inner belt made by Crye and no one else.

Not necessarily. The inner belts that I have for range belts are thinner belts with the outside covered in velcro. The inside of the outside belt is also covered in velcro. I would think that a different brand inner belt would work. You can get more affordable inn/outer belt combos for less than the price of the Crye belt.

I was looking at those but wasnt sure of the brand quality. I think something like that or the https://haleystrategic.com/d3-belt-v1
would be what I am looking for.

    Any other suggestions?
For the purposes you describe, any of the belts listed in the thread would be fine. There are quite a few out there. 511 makes some. Here is a link to one of them.
    Maverick Battle Belt

Range belts have variety in the belt size, such as 1.5", 2" and variety in the buckling systems as well.

I see Blue Alpha has a rig with a 1.5" inner belt which I like. I think I like this one.
