Everything I see seems to talk well about them, but I was wondering if anyone had anything real world experience? I just target shoot, dont need mil/mil, FFP or anything fancy. 100-600yd is my norm. will be going on a 700 aac-sd. Honestly it seems to have the functions i want, but I am sure that there is a down side im not considering.

i too have been looking at this optic. looks pretty decent for the money! but i have not found many reviews on them......

Re: thinking of grabbing an Nikon m308

Looked at them the glass is great for the money the only problem I see for my application is the knobs are specific to a 168 grain bullet. I shoot a 155 palma you can replace the knobs with standard 1/4 moa for around $80 if my memory is correct. The knobs that come with it are calibrated for yardage with a specific ballistic profile. Read all the info on their site and make an informed decision. Just didn't fit well for me good luck.

For about the same money... Vortex HS 5-15x44 from MidwayUSA. Much better scope, better turrets, 30MM tube. Vortex.

+1 z71rat. I have shot both side by side. My rifle wears the vortex and my buddy has the nikon. Nikon has good clear glass but I didn't like the nikoplex reticle at all. Overall in my opinion the vortex is a much better buy. Better reticle, better turrets and it seems to me a better company to deal with. Plus I got mine from midway when it was on sale so I paid less for it than he paid for the nikon. I have the viper HS 5-15x44.

I would get a 10X super sniper with the mil knobs/new reticule, use the shit out of it until you figure out/have the money for what you really want the sell it.

Re: thinking of grabbing an Nikon m308

i have the m223 and its works good. that being said i have never used the reticle for holdovers, a mil dot reticle in this scope would b really sweet. it has 1/4 moa knobs that has always tracked great but they are easy to bump off zero.

Re: thinking of grabbing an Nikon m308

yeah, was going to use the nikoplex and not the bdc reticle. 10x and mil/mil inst really appropriate for the shooting i do. I did conser teh fixed 20 from them though. Ill take a second look at the vipers also. thanks everyone.

running a nikon 6-18 on it now. but its in 1/8 moa and causes a lot of cranking. Not unhappy with it, per se, but interested in trying out something new. Not to mention i need a scope for my new 223 so I was thinking I'd steal the 6-18 for it and use this opportunity to sneak somethign past the wife lol. thanks for the reply.
