Gunsmithing Is this just a drop in/screw in project?

Re: Is this just a drop in/screw in project?

Pretty simple. You might want to pick up a torque wrench. The Wheeler Fat Wrench should serve you well for the money. The only issue I've had with mine was my Jewell trigger didn't fit without some filing. Not a big deal, however. Mine is a 2nd gen folder. I believe KRG addressed this issue in their new model as well as making the front action screw hole a little bigger. I've been pretty happy with mine. Mine weighs in at about 15lbs. with bipod, monopod, empty mag, optics and sling. Pretty much everything except ammo. It's got a 20" varmint/Sendero contour. A 16" fluted MTU will be my next barrel. I never thought I'd use the folding option but it does come in handy at times. Buy a few mags while you're at it.

Thank you. It looks like there is no way around spending megamoney to upgrade the Rem 700 ADL to obtain DBM while maintaining light weight.

I see used Mcrees in the for sale section all the time.

I have yet to find any way around megamoney with these rifles. I spent 7 bucks on a roll of fucking masking tape the other day. Makes my chassis system seem like a bargain.
