Rifle Scopes Mounting a Millett TRS-1, which base?

I'm putting a Millett TRS-1 on a .308 REM 700 SPS tact. I'm using medium height Millet rings. I'm still not sure which rail to put on it. 10, 15, OR 20MOA? I plan to shoot this from 100 to 1,000 yds.

I have that scope mounted on my sons rifle In a pepr 0 MOA. Zeroed at 100 it has only 6.5 mils up left and 14 mils down so I would say get at least a 20 MOA base. FWIW that scope has tracked great and holds zero fine, 'twas a good investment for barely over 300 bones.

FYI for those watching. I bought a 20 MOA base mounted the scope and zeroed it at 100 yards. Waiting to get to the 1000 yard range to test this scope and mostly my limited abilities.

I think you made a good choice. I was going to recommend the Weaver 20 MOA base. Good luck!

I am curious how much up elevation you have with the 20 MOA base. My son has never shot past 100 so the lack of adjustment has not been an issue, he is getting better every trip tho so I may have to swap it out with a mount I have in 20 MOA.

Just curious, I'm doing the exact same setup only I had Millett rings which measures .115 vs .235 for the mediums (Aluminum Detachable DT00713 Low). With a 20moa rail do you think you will have .120 of space left between the scope (or more correctly caps) and barrel?
Sorry, I'm not trying to hi-jack your thread but its just that I haven't got my base yet and am wondering if I'd better start planning for new rings as well. Thanks

I used Weaver two piece 20MOA bae and medium Millett rings. I'll take a pic and post later.
