Re: Bedding pictures

Looks like you've got the hang of it.

Did you use Marine Tex?

Re: Bedding pictures

Good job!

Hint:

SS Remingtons have that goofy groove in the tang. My guess is its an easy way to distinguish a chromoly/Ss action during production.

A little silver solder will permanently fill the groove. Its easy to do. Just warm it up, draw some in, file and sand to flush, then bead blast to restore the finish. Wont hurt a thing and bedding comes out 100% no chance of it acting like a second recoil lug.

Nice job for sure. One of the best home jobs I've seen.

Eddie has the hands of a Surgeon.

Rock steady is the Dremel while he works his magic.

NAW, just kidding. Eddie does some mighty fine work.

Hey Eddie, can you post a pic of the BM inlet side of that stock?

Re: Bedding pictures

Showoff....:)
Nice job. Doesn't get any better, that's the kind of job I'd expect if I were paying for it.
Gotta admit, I'm not as meticulous in my "clean up" on the inside edges...

Re: Bedding pictures

I've went about dealing with the groove on the tang a couple of ways that may help you guys. I've used kleen klay with good results or a layer or two of scotch tape in the groove (trimmed of course).

No benefit I see other than cosmetics, but you have a pretty good eye.(grin)

Re: Bedding pictures

Great work! I have tried bedding now a couple of times and none have looked this good.
