Re: Lifeproof iPhone 4s Case

I've used my iphone 4 with lifeproof case out in the field in the rain many times. Have also dropped it in the sabine river. Don't plan on ever buying a different case.

Actually I was in the process of writing some correspondence to Lifeproof and I just grabbed the first rifle next to the desk. My office is cluttered as hell right now, but at least it's good clutter.

Re: Lifeproof iPhone 4s Case

I don't even care about the carbon fiber forend, I just wish the standard design would have the receiver milled in this fashion.
The standard version now, doesn't really have much for "sex appeal". The origonal "Carbon" version has much improved esthetic value, and this new design looks even better...IMHO.
Part of the reason I haven't bought one yet, I want this design on the receiver to shove my M70 LA in.

Re: Lifeproof iPhone 4s Case

Is there any problems hearing with the lifeproof or people on the other line hearing you? I read some reviews online and heard that was a complaint with many people.

Re: Lifeproof iPhone 4s Case

Only complaint on mine is the rubber? Ring around the edge of the screen tore and started peeling but it's still waterproof and has taken a beating and kep goin

None. That was my first concern. Usually stuff that is totally waterproof hinders sound transmission. This doesn't.

The speakerphone actually seems louder than my Otterbox. Also the back of the case seems to act as a resonator. On the Otterbox you would "mute" the phone by covering the bottom ports. You can't do that with the Lifeproof.

If that is clutter, mail me the clutter when you clean up your desk.

Re: Lifeproof iPhone 4s Case

I had a life proof case for 6 months. Took it back here is why;

1- rubber o-ring failed
2- only can use chargers whose outside diameter is the same as the original apple charger.
3- after lots of use traveling in a pocket it would get dirty. I opened it up to check things after a couple months and found lots of dust and grime in the case, back side of the phone, around the corners and worse around the buttons.
4- speaker does not put out the same volume unless you open the charging door.
5- charging door seal is worthless unless you are sure you close it with nothing on the sealing surface.
6- headphone jack supplied is a joke! It works but for how long . Wires in the sheath would break and then phones would stop working -useless!
7- I dropped it accidentally on to carpet and picked it up. No big deal, then set it on a desk when I noticed the phone was no longer lying flat on the desk. Took case off and found the fall had twisted the phone!!!!
The case offers no impact protection! Maybe small drops and to keep scratches off but it doesn't really do that we'll at all when the case allows the phone to move about inside.

Probably a great case for the nerd but for one who uses his tools it sucks and doesn't do it's job for the insane price of it!

I now am using a Mophie Juice Pack Pro now and have been really satisfied with it and the two complete charges I get from the extra battery.

Interesting. I wonder if you got a bad one.

I can assure you that I actually "use" my tools. I have bounced the Lifeproof on the pavement a couple times now. See I keep mine clipped to my lapel while I am working and I have missed the clip a couple times and launched the phone.

Additionally I bought the case because I routinely get my phone wet and muddy. So far so good.

Just to make sure I didn't get the only good one, I have an FDE version coming soon.

Re: Lifeproof iPhone 4s Case

I wish my office had that kind of clutter... lol

The case is quite slim, not bulky at all as it follows the shape of the iPhone.
