There's an older one (2001 production) for sale here on the Hide.
I decided that I'm either going to go big or go home (~$3000).
I am looking at this rifle as half range toy/half investment. Will I be at a loss if I were to buy this rifle? Larue OBRs are also around the same price IF you can find one. Used ones seem to go for about $3000 and new a few hundred more.
Basically, this rifle will be bought and used to shoot prone or at the bench from 100-500 yards 95% of the time. There may be a chance I will use it in a long range or 3-gun match here and there mostly for fun.
Also, the SR-25 Match Rifle listed here has a RAS installed as opposed to the carbon fiber FF. Since it has already been modified from its original form (probably a more desirable feature), would cutting the barrel down to 20" or even 16" hurt the resale value?
Is $3k a fair price? I'm already hurting if I have to pay this much but you know how that goes... Buy once, cry once.
