This is golden.

Re: Body Armor

Unless you are a service member or LE, your not going to be buying any plates you would bet your life on. I recommend taking cover. If you are LE or military then you spend some money and buy armor from a reputable retailer. I got mine from Blackhawk and paid about 1800 for plates and soft armor backers back when they were offering military discounts.

Re: Body Armor

Protec was running a special recently. Two level IV plates and carrier for $350 plus you could buy a helmet for 299 with the package.

Re: Body Armor

I do not know whey they are so cheap. I found them online but have not checked into them at all. Buy at your own risk.

Re: Body Armor

I just purchased two ceramic plates for my Shellback Banshee plate carrier. Website and testimonials looked legit but I guess you never know. Hoping to not opcheck 'em.

Re: Body Armor

Roger, sorry I read them a while ago and thought it was ok as someone was looking for it and I wasn't trying to sell it directly on the Options & Accessories For Sale forum, my apologies. Won't happen again.

Just remember that "meets NIJ standard" is not the same as NIJ certified. Do you research.
