Not going to get political and say who I voted for, but I voted. Did you?

It really pisses me off when the guy at the range or softball game that bitches the most about what ever current event has taken place, tells you he doesn't vote because it's a waste of time.

    Re: I Voted Did You?

    I've voted five times already.

    Write in Candadate: LowLight

[I actually voted 2 weeks ago, blows my mind that people don't do mail in ballots]

Proud member of the KEG party. Not the Tea party... not the Coffee party... the KEG party.

Stands for Kiss Everyone Goodbye! Hoping it takes off.

    Who is John Galt?

    Cheers,

    Sirhr

PS... yes voted. Have not missed an election, a mid-term or a primary since I was eligible. Never. Ever. Even when overseas. Not during storms. Not when I thought everyone running was a tool. I am proud to have voted every time... gives me the right to bitch about who got elected ;-)

I was a member of the KEG party when I was in college, later on a converted to the party lead by Johhny Walker and his Black Labels.

Yup, not much to choose from though, had to go with Big R.

    Re: I Voted Did You?

Wife & I did this afternoon. Now to wait for the results. I really hate interesting but from the Drudge Report headlines it is very tight.

    Re: I Voted Did You?

I voted on my way into work this morning. My wife even beat me to the polls. She goes down to the station to work out at 5am before any of the guys work out. She hit the polls on her way home.

    Re: I Voted Did You?

Yep, done a couple of weeks ago thanks to OR's mail in ballot system. I too now have the ability to rightfully bitch about my elected officials.

    Re: I Voted Did You?

Line wasn't bad where I was but I was prepared to miss work if needed to cast my ballot.

    Re: I Voted Did You?

I never miss the opportunity to vote....Thanks to all who have fought for this country to give us this freedom...God bless our Vets

    Re: I Voted Did You?

    Yep.

And I think I was convinced that there should be an IQ test. There was a couple there, probably mid-30's. Looked like they probably are not able to live on their own. The poll workers let them work on their ballet cards together. Here we fill out the card like the standardized tests in school - fill in the circle of the candidate you choose. This pair filled in all the circles for all the candidates they did NOT want to vote for. They were still trying to figure out what to do about this when I left.

I do feel sorry for people who are less fortunate. Life is hard enough, and being at a disadvantage only makes it harder. But I'm not sure how someone like this is able to make an informed decision?

    Re: I Voted Did You?

Yes and I can't fucken understand why the majority of Hispanics went with Obama. And yes I am Hispanic so I can say this what the fuck are they thinking about!

    Re: I Voted Did You?

The girl in front of me waiting turned around and said "This would be so much easier if we could just vote on facebook." I wanted to smack her for some reason it just struck me as wrong!

    Re: I Voted Did You?

I am losing hope in this and future generations. What incentive do I have to continue grad school when I see20 year olds up to 40 year olds asleep when I do nursing home visits. It is impossible that all of them work nights. It is disappointing that I get taxed up the ass while these leaches drain me and then have the balls to complain.

    Re: I Voted Did You?

I don't know but he is out in 4 years and has nothing to lose to make us gun owners miserable. Sure hope it does not happen

My blood pressure is rising just thinking about these people! They are horrible Americans, and I have no qualms saying that to their faces anytime I meet one. It's a shame though, I only made one person cry this election...

Hopefully the little turd who owns/runs facebook will get called on the carpet for denying businesses what they paid for. Maybe he won't be in business for long???

Yes I voted. And what a crappy bunch of politicians there were to vote for. No doubt, it really starts at the grass roots to get someone in there who can fight the 'politics as usual' crowd. Your time, whether you know it or not, is exceptionally valuable when you work on a campaign for an honest person to serve in office. Who hopefully can make some good changes.

Sadly, too many people vote for the choices they are given, not the choices they make.

guess what...its a waste of time. you can pound your chest and think you are exercising your right all you want. if you look at todays results the people spoke definitively one way and the electoral college another. its all mind over matter.....they don't mind cause you don't matter.

Last time I looked it was 59.6m votes to Obama and 57m votes to Romney. Don't think the people spoke definitively either way. What's sad is that we have 350m people in this country and only 1/3 showed up at the polls. Probably thought it was a waste of time. But 100k votes in PA, OH, and VA could have pushed those states to Romney.

You have to remember that there are around 150mil registered voters and around 200mil that are eligible for voting. At this rate most (116mil) "registered voters voted", which is extremely good, or another way of looking at is is more than half of eligible voters voted.

The 300mil plus people we have also include children and people who have lost their voting privileges.

Good point. I'm emotional right now and not thinking straight.

. Would it be bad to have a political room where it was legal to discuss?

    Re: I Voted Did You?

The worst part in all of this is that in a country of a couple of hundred million or so THOSE 2 were the best we could do to lead us.....
