I would just go ahead and get a TacOps. They are the best out there and you will always be happy with it. I tried several before getting a TacOps and haven't even thought about getting another one since.

It is nice. I use it as my 3 gun bag. Almost all of my stuff fits in it. I have a toolbox that I use for shot shells and spare parts/gear. I've been using mine for a couple of years and it shows no signs of wear that I have noticed.

I got a galati international drag bag/shooting mat for Father's Day and absolutely love the thing. It's got molle attach points backpack straps and inside its got a muzzle protector sleeve. Also burly as hell!

The tacops bag is the nutz but my only problem with that stylebag is once you fill itwith all your gear you need to do curls to lift it. I found a decent mat/bag plus a ruck sac seem to be easier to manage.

Fucker is so off balanced when using the handles, it's not even funny!!! It's okay when using the shoulder strap... The backpack straps are iffy though.
For a cheap rifle bag for transporting to the range and back, its decent... Actual field and drag/stalk use, forget about it!!!
The TacOps drag bag on the other hand is no joke... And the price tag reflects that as well! haha

Another vote for the Midway/NcStar bag. I have a couple. One easily fits a 50" rifle, shotgun, cleaning rods, 100 rds .243, data book, range finder, spotting scope, wind meter, sunshade, hand calls, extra gloves, scarf, hat, and whatever else I feel the need to lug around. Several years of dragging it around has not revealed any weaknesses in the bag. For me, it's a very good alternative to the backpack and sheath for the longer guns. The backpack straps could be better (for more money) but I have not broken one.

Really depends on what you plan on doing with it.
As said above one of the BIG problems is that too often all that space gets filled with "stuff"...the Kitchen Sink can get VERY heavy.

The NCStar models aren't exactly 'junk' but they aren't near the quality of other brands. I 'won' one of their bags two years ago, the only use it's seen has been carrying from vehicle to shooting lines. One buckle has broke, zipper's sometime's catch...etc I've started selling the Galati's and they are 10X the bag the NCStar/Midway bags are. Very high quality and I haven't had a return yet due to funciton/lack of quality. Plus they are more 'reasonable' in price!

I checked out the Galati bag its more my price range but its just not long enough. I'd have more money for a bag but someone went a lil ape shit on the gun and accessories which makes me not a very popular person around here. So spending another $400 on a bag is a little bit of a stretch. lol

I just purchased an Eberlestock Gunslinger II. Hasn't arrived yet, but I am definitely attracted to the idea that I can put my rifle in something designed as a high-quality backpack and be able to hike with it. They claim you can put a 60" rifle inside. A drag bag seems more bag than backpack, to me.

I haven't noticed the off balance of the bag when it's loaded up. I'm not trying to insult you, but really it's all in how you load it. There are pockets at the front that I put all of my loaded AR mags in, so I guess that balances it for me. Like I said I carry mine for 3 gun stuff. So I'm not really "stalking" anything with it. How many people really are? It's a good cheap alternative IMO.

I agree that the Midway drag bags have the handles placed poorly for balance. No matter how I've packed mine it fails. Plus, I've had 2 of them returned due to the d-ring shoulder straps ripping out of the seam with only a SR-25 and three mags inside.

A word of caution: Do you really want to put your $5-10k rig in a bag that is the cheapest? It is your money, but you also have put good money into your gun/optics. Why not get the best for your application?

I tried it with just my rifle alone, and with loaded up to around 35-45lbs... No matter what I did, it was very off balance with the carry handles.
Not a huge deal, as I only transport it to and from the trunk of my car! For $70 it does its job, and looks good.

I've been pleased with my Tac Force drag bag. It's a bit more than the Midway bag but not as much as the Tac Ops bag. The material is nice and thick, the zippers are strong, and all of the seams are intact. Plenty of pockets, good padding and attachment options, comes with backpack straps, and no problems with balance using just the handle like I have read on the Midway bag. I've had it for over a year now and no issues.

IMHO the best bag for the money was the Eagle Bag when they were 1/2 off!! I could kick myself in the butt for not buying a boatload of them.
That being said the question is subjective. I think for the money I spent my 2 Tac-Ops bags are without a doubt the best bags for the money.

i prefer eberlestock. the tac-ops seems to be very similar (besides the mat compartment), but i prefer to be able to detach the front or side bags [whatever you call the smaller bags]. on the tac-ops, they seem to be permanent. most of the time i don't need the bags (have the rest in my backpack).
the remaining molle on the eberlestock can also be used to attach almost anything, while you are stuck with what you have with the tac-ops.

TAC OPS is the best bag out there hands down. It's worth every penny and the quality is second to none. There are other good bags out there but the Tac Ops rocks by far. You get what you pay for.

When I cut wood, I use chaps. And I can tell ya that
1,000 denir is tuff freakin stuff. I use the 600 mostly.

You could get into fishing! $50,000 Ranger boat, $500 rods, baits, gas...............Every "hobby" is expensive. Golf is expensive! Just think about us guys that have all the reloading equipment to go along with shooting!
I could sell all I have now and make a large profit. Can't do that with golf clubs and used boats!!!

I thought about getting into fishing once, even went and looked at boats. Then I went home and decided I'd find a different hobby.

My Tac Ops bag arrived at 10:30 this morning.
Of course, getting it from GAP it says GA Precision but, its
the Tac Ops Gen5 drag bag. No difference either way as far as
who's name is embroided on the bag.
At any rate, its just a super nice drag bag. However, I must
comment on what a nice little drag bag I got with my
Sig Sauer M400 Enhanced. Don't get me wrong the Tac Ops Gen5 drag bag
is super, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well the drag bag
provided by Sig Sauer compared. If I can figure how to post pics
from my cell phone then Ill put some up.

Wow, you got a free bag with your rifle? Was it used? I am shaking my head and now I really wonder why companies ^^^do not give stuff like that to the customer when buying their products. For example, my $3200 Sako rifle did not come with a case or much of anything for that matter. You would think for that kind of money they could throw in a case or a bag or something. I got a nice box lol. I did get a case with my $1500 DD M4v5 but it's a very cheap case IMO. However, at least they gave me something. Seems to me like it would be a nice package to sell some stuff together. That being said I can't see me paying $300+ for a drags bag. What about Voodoo tactical drag bags? Are they any good? You can get those for $99-$130 and they look identical to the tac ops drag bags to me. However I don't know how good they really are.

I have only bought 1 of these type bags and it was a Tac Ops. As far as i am concerned you get what you pay for and their stuff is the best out their period.
