So I work in DRC and don't see much wildlife as the locals eat them faster than they reproduce. I did run across a few and figured I would see if anyone knows the names for these creatures.

Bottom one is a bird, not an amimal.

Nuttshooter,

The animal up top appears to be a Kob. There are a few different species, Ugandan, Western and White Eared, with perhaps one or two others. Pretty interesting trophy, as they appear primarily through central Africa.

As for a $35,000.00 trophy fee, it is highly unlikely, as they are not occur in quite a few places and are plentiful.

Hope this helps.

Be safe,

Re: Name these animals!

One of the guys here said it was a Kafue Lechwe. I was told that they are not that common here in DRC. Now maybe right down the road in Zambia, I don't know. I Ben here over a year without a single change to go hunting. This make NUTT a depressed boy!

Birds are Animals.

Re: Name these animals!

Outside of kudu, sable, bongo, and impala I am lost when it comes to all the different African antelope. If I ever make it over there for a hunt I'll probably end up shooting something I don't have a licence for....

Re: Name these animals!

The bird definitely looks like a Leonard...the horned beast, perhaps a Lester or maybe Steven.
