I have only used a Harris bipod and was wondering what kind of other options are out there in the $100-$150 range. It will be going on an AR-10 and I have a stud adapter for it or I can use the rail.

Re: Bipod options?

Atlas isn't in your price range. But, it's worth saving up another $50-70 to get one.

Re: Bipod options?

If it's gonna get dirty and sandy, keep the Harris.

Re: Bipod options?

I have a rock creek raptor bi pod that's the best I have used if u shoot a lot of prone

Re: Bipod options?

I have always used Harris and it got the job done fine, but my next bipod will be the Atlas

Re: Bipod options?

I've got a harris and atlas and prefer the atlas also.

It's certainly worth the extra coin. But you lose out on rapid deployment (for what it's worth)

Re: Bipod options?

I have a Harris and an Atlas V8. The legs on the Atlas have become gritty from dirt when extending them and it's a little slower to deploy. I do like the Atlas better for uneven terrain as it certainly has a wider range of adjustment. Frankly, I'm kind of torn between them.

Re: Bipod options?

I've used Harris and Atlas. After using the Atlas, I couldn't really like it as much as I hoped, it just didn't have as huge of advantage over the Harris, and it didn't like to get dirty, so that was another downfall, in my eyes. So, I use Harris. It works well for me, is fast, and doesn't mind the dirt.

...or add snow and ice.

Yup.

Re: Bipod options?

Yeah, I live in Minnesota and winter is fast approaching. I will definitely take into account everything you guys have said and look at the Atlas.

Re: Bipod options?

I will sell you an atlas. Harris for me. I all depends on what you are doing. I am going to keep one Atlas for hunting as it is quieter than the Harris. Harris only when shooting competitions.

Re: Bipod options?

Did anyone read what the OP said? Clearly no one else did. He has used a Harris and is wanting to know what other bipods are available in the $100-$150 range. The last time I checked, the Atlas is nearly $100 more than his budget.

Re: Bipod options?

Stick with a Harris swivel in height you need with Pod Loc.
