Just received my kidd supergrade the other day. I duracoated it and then threw it in the truck with the family to pick up a trailer at our ranch. decided to pull it out to sight it in. after shooting at a rock 6 times at about 50 yards to see how clos it was, it seemed dead on. i noticed a squirrel nearby and figured it was at 50 yards and shots seven and eight went without touching him. decided to slow down and focus. then i took the ninth shot out of this rifle and smoked him. needless to say, i kind of enjoy this gun. here is a pic from after duracoating it and one with my kid trying to look through the scope. attached is a sparrow. i put him up in the truck for safety reasons (they won't stop running around till they are caged.)

You will love it. I had Tony build one for me, scary accurate but as usual, I sold it to fund another project.

Great to see your son shooting, great way to startem out!

Re: new kidd supergade

I've always heard positive feedback with Kidd rifles so I decided to place an order. After submitting a order and being charged 12% sales tax I canceled my order. I did manage to pick up a used Kidd and enjoy shooting it, too bad I couldn't order to my custome needs.

Are you sure that it was 12% I think it was 11% and was the Federal exise tax that every firearms company is required to charge. They even say it on their web site.

Re: new kidd supergade

I missed the chance at one a few months back. Great rifle I believe they shoot 1/2 at 50yds from the factory. Yeah that exise tax sucks. Hard to find one used though.

Maybe you're right about 11% but that's still insane. Lady told me it was clearly sales tax they had to charge. Thanks, I'll pass.

Re: new kidd supergade

Yeah, any company that produces Firearms and sells them to the public is required to charge an excise tax (federal sales tax) of 11%. Nothing they can do about it.

Re: new kidd supergade

Yup, its a 11% excise. Once your shoot you first group out of a Kidd Supermatch you'll forget all about the costs... fantastic accuracy and they almost make it too easy to shoot so well.

Only on complete firearms. I ordered mine complete except for a stock (I can manage that on my own). No excise ;-)
