Hve been looking to purchase a pof 308 and was wondering if anyone knows how hard it would be for a gunsmith to cutthe factory break off and attach a thunderbeast break for a suppressor i am waiting on. the rifle i am buying from cabelas so i can aquire reward points. looks like it has a spot of solder in the middle of the break?

Re: pof 308 14.5

The brake is pinned, not welded. Any gunsmith worth his salt can remove it and install the brake of your choice.

Re: pof 308 14.5

will he have to cut off the threads or just reattach another break and repin it? already waiting on two cans dont want another nfa wait. and will that pof still stay accurate out to say 500?

Re: pof 308 14.5

No cutting of the threads is necessary and swapping out the brake is a quick, easy, and inexpensive to do. The accuracy will not be affected.

Re: pof 308 14.5

how well will a pof run supressed? gonna have a 30ba as soon as the stamp comes back. will it have a lot of gas blowback?
thank you killshot been following ur posts for a couple months.

Re: pof 308 14.5

My TBAC is also on order but from everything I've read, as with any rifle, it will get dirty when running suppressed and it will have a little blowback. you can remedy that by using a PRI Gasbuster charging handle. The upside of having a POF is they wipe clean very easily.

Run SAS cans on my 16.5" all the time with no problems at all and stupid accurate for what it is!
