Where could I find some pictures of finished rifles with this stock?

My first one should be here next week.

Thanks!
Anybody got any more?

Re: Manners MCS-SL stocks

I'm bumping this thread up. Not a whole heck of a lot of info out there on these stocks. Can anybody chime in with their thoughts and pictures of this stock? Curious as to actual weight, how it balances, etc.

I'm looking to have a "mid-ish" weight sporter put together. Probably a #3 Bartlein 24" long, BDL metal. Hoping for around 9 lbs all scoped and loaded, give or take a tad.

If I remember correctly, these stocks only come in paint, correct? No molded in camo or solids?

Appreciate the info!!

This one is my personal coyote rifle, and was featured in an article in Gun Digest this last year for a varmint hunt in Australia. It has a Stiller TAC-30 action, and a #4 contour Bartlein cut to 25" (.750 at the muzzle). With a Leupold 4.5-14 in Seekins rings, and Rem BDL bottom metal is weighs in at 10# even.

The slightly shorter barrel, and lighter contour your looking at should put you in the low to mid 9# neighborhood. I think this stock does really well for a general purpose ype stock. When I was building rifles full time I probably used this stock about 50% of the time when guys were looking for a long range hunting rifle.

I'm not too picture savvy, but I have a SL on a short action 700 chambered in 308 as my primary deer rifle. It has a #3 5r bartlein finished at 22". With a 3-9 ziess it goes about 8.5 pounds. You can get the SL in molded in camo from manners just like the other stocks. I know it is preference, but it is my undisputed favorite for an all around hunting rifle. Just like everything else manners puts out, 2 thumbs up.

Strongly considering the MCS-SL for my own 700 varmin 308. Their online stock builder page shows an $85 option for 90% carbon fiber. Did you order yours with the carbon fiber option, and what's your opinion on it? Thanks!

Re: Manners MCS-SL stocks

Looks like I will need a new stock for my A.I. A.W. , one without the thumb hole. I do not plan on selling and will do whatever I need to do to keep using.

They are coming out with a new hunter series stock. Check out the bolt action rifle page...
