Just looking for input here. I'm thinking of loading some quality 300 BLK rds to sell at around $450 per 1K on local forums and maybe some of the larger forums like this one. I'm very interested in doing this, but I'd like to see what grain people would like to use in this cartridge and if supersonic or subsonic would be more popular. Provided I get into this, I'd be using a chronograph and provide all the specs on the load, and test fire 3 of every 1K rds as a QA/QC practice. Any input is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Weights of choice are 125gr for supersonic and 220gr subsonic, I would assume a fairly inexpensive subsonic load would sell better, maybe 60-70% subsonic but a little research will answer that question.

I would check local laws and inquire about what type of licence you will need to produce/sell ammo (licensed manufacturer of ammunition), especially if you are producing on a larger scale and shipping out of state. I'm sure you have thought of it, but CYA

Re: Inexpensive 300 BLK

yea you need a license throughout the ATF before you can make ammo for profit. Had a buddy in the Marines who got a knock on his door because someone he pissed off decided to tell the ATF he was making and selling ammo when in fact all he was doing was helping his friends make ammo or letting his friends come over and use his equipment. just hook him up with a 12 pack and bring your own bullets/powder and he would make all the ammo you wanted lol.

He didn't get charged and the guy ended up getting charged for falsifying evidence or some crap.

short story is you don't want to piss off the ATF because they have too much time on their hands lol
