I have wanted to get a couple of my rifle stocks painted for awhile now but never really had the time or something else was a higher priority for my money so I never had it done until now. So recently I contacted Shortbus about having my Blackops Perseus Manner's T4A and a GAP M40A3ish McMillan A4 painted. I know I wanted the Perseus T4A to be a Multicam but was unsure about the McMillan. I ended up calling Shortbus to talk over the project with him and get his take on it. I started talking about the A4 and I was looking for some sort of Urban theme. He stated he has always wanted to do a Urban Multicamish on a rifle stock but has not done one. I said let's give it a try and see what comes out of it.

He did some mock-ups and sent me some pictures. I was not too sure at first but we came to the agreement that if I didn't like it I can get a new paint job done. When he showed the full pic of it I was blown away. He put it up in the photo gallery but you have to see it in person to get how good this stock actually looks. When you feel the stock there is no layering feeling to it and it is very soft feeling. If you have been on the fence about getting the super uber cool paint job Shortbus is your man. Great to work with and a very hard worker.

here are the two rifles with their new paint jobs:

I was very pleased how they turned out and I couldn't have picked a better painter to work with. I highly recommend working with Shortbus.

I was very unsure at about it at first until he got done with it and he sent me a pic and I was blown away and any issues I had melted away. He does some great work. He is going to have to do the scopes next.

    Great looking stock!

Bus is the man! I have a try-color digital paint scheme on my T4a from him and my CZ452 T4 is getting some paint on it from ShortBus as well.

Like JSTARZ stated, if you are on the fence about getting a custom paint job done on a stock, just do it! ShortBus will take care of you

Both look really great, but I'm loving that Urban Multi-cam.

Rifles look great. One of them even shifts gears on the correct side.

    Good luck hunting this week.

thats really bad ass. i personally do not have the patience to pull off a paint job like that lol

Re: Shortbus Stock Paint Job - Blackops and GAP Rifles

Branden did a stock for me last summer that turned out fantastic. I like doing business with someone who seems genuinely interested in what they do.

Re: Shortbus Stock Paint Job - Blackops and GAP Rifles

They look awesome. How well does it seem like the paint will hold up?

What kind of paint does he use? Duracoat?

Very nice work. You got me thinking about it now...

Polane. A little different than Duracoat, but essentially the same.

I just got my other stock in from Manners. When I get my build back from Beanland I'll be sending Shortbus 2 stocks for these same treatments. They look amazing!
