Hunting & Fishing 12 yoa Daughter Shoots her biggest buck to date

She has killed deer with a shotgun, muzzleloader, and her favorite Ruger 77/44 44mag..... 7 total, this is her third buck....

Hornady Leverevolution 225 grain FTX

Opening morning in Indiana......

124 yards Both lungs! He ran about 300 yards before collapsing....

Thank you, I am! She really likes the whole sport of hunting..... Not just shooting an animal and going back to the other side.....

Her and my 7 year old son completed with me in a 3D archery comp..... They both shot youth up to 12 yoa...... She got 1rst and my son got 2nd against those 12 year olds......

They both already like to shoot my rifles and SMGs...... Excuses to buy more toys....... I like it!

Hey that is a very interesting youth caliber.. I have a 7 year old looking for her first gun. How's recoil. Do you reload for it?

Recoil is all but nonexistent! They both shoot it very well.... No flinch like the slug guns or MLs!

I don't reload! I just use the Hornady 225 grain FTX Leverevolution ammo..... It will shoot about 1 1/2"-2" at 100 yards...... Which is plenty good enough for this..... I did shoot a doe at 210 with it and dropped her in her tracks.....

I am a Bowhunter and I don't disagree!

The Indiana rifle/handgun rules are crazy...... Rifle calibers in a handgun and handgun calibers in a rifle
