Suppressors I got my tax stamp back on my first centerfire can

Re: I got my tax stamp back on my first centerfire can

do you want me to pick it up for you and hold it; well, maybe shoot it a little to make sure it works.

Re: I got my tax stamp back on my first centerfire can

It's already transferred and Im sure there is an exception for deployed military.

Re: I got my tax stamp back on my first centerfire can

My NFA dealer has said they have no problem holding onto any items I purchase from them while over here. They keep a running tab for me and I pay it while on R&R. I am contractor now not active duty so that makes it worth coming over here(I don't have to do excessive PT).
Great place and they treat me real nice probably because I spend so much there. Gun Gallery in Jax, it is the first place I am going after catching up on sleep after the flight from Dubai. I am even going to bring all my rifles that I already prepared and go straight to the range. I went from shooting 5 times a week to shooting whenever some soldiers can spare some practice ammo which is like once every two months or so. I am going nuts not pulling triggers. Hell at home I would practice every night on at least 4 different firearms for 20 minutes a piece just to not loose my trigger pull. I even starting making a 1911 trigger parts housing to pull out here to keep up on my 1911 back home. Having trouble finding a big enough drill press or mill to finish it.
Bottom line is I need more gun time.

Re: I got my tax stamp back on my first centerfire can

Does anyone have power of attorney back here in the states, might be possible for them to receive it, I am not sure if that is allowed but might be worth looking into?

Re: I got my tax stamp back on my first centerfire can

Not really the problem in fact on the trust I have my parents on it so between that and the power of attorney they can pick it up but that isn't the problem. The problem is I can't shoot it after waiting 8 months.

That's sucks Bro. Sorry. Thanks for your service.
Good luck with breaking out early to shoot your can.

Re: I got my tax stamp back on my first centerfire can

So back from R&R and had an absolute blast shooting with my new can. I first bought a new 16" 300blackout upper to try it on and was blown away how pleasant it was to shoot that. Then onto the 556 and 6.5 grendel uppers. On the 6.5 grendel upper it cut my 200 yard groups down to about an inch for 10 shots. Really pleased with that performance. Then I went to my smiths house to finish ream the new M1A 18.5 inch medium krieger barrel I got in. Installing that barrel proved to be a project in itself but it got installed and finally reamed. We took it out back of his shop and fired a single round through it with gas system turned off to check brass for bad reamer markings. All looked great so I took it to the range and shot almost 250 rounds through it suppressed. It was spitting in my face something fierce but it was again pleasant to shoot. Started out only shooting about 8 inches at 200 yards but after about 50 it started to slowly shrink before hitting the 3 inch mark for 10 round groups at 200. Ordered 400 rounds of Federal GMM half 175 and half 168 to see what it likes better but it didn't make it before I had to come back to here. All in all the SDN-6 has been one of the best shooting accessories I have ever spent money on and was worth every second of wait time. PS anyone considering doing an M1A with the sage stock and medium short barrel suppressed can count on it being stupidly front heavy. I shot it offhand a few times but only to say I did. Actually considering doing a carbine match with it once when I return just to try it out rapid fire up close.

Re: I got my tax stamp back on my first centerfire can

Congrats man. You run any night vision yet? Ive heard the hogs get pretty big out there

Re: I got my tax stamp back on my first centerfire can

No nightvision is below a small truck on my list of things to get. If I was staying over here longer I would already be looking for NVG's to run but as it sits I have grown sick and tired of talking to uneducated Muslims insisting their religion gives them any right when they need it.

Re: I got my tax stamp back on my first centerfire can

I say let the parents test it out (trust).
