That's what I'm feeling as well. I should have flipped those builds around. My reasoning at the time was that I have plenty of practical rifles. The 338 isn't practical but wth. 1500 yard hog gun.

You made a good choice. I always like it when the gutsy decisions come out well.
edt: Bottom metal is what Mcmillan had to go with M995s they build stocks for. They no longer provide the metal though and I only know 2 builders(Moon being one) that have 1 each of the bottoms and once they are out it's either a chassis for these or cut the metal out of the old stocks unless some turn up some where.
