Even suppressed, it will still be very loud and unless they are using a very good flash propellent, it will still be bright, even with suppressor.

I agree with the electronic muffs not working out in a fast evolving situation but the suppressor comments are not assumptions, I'm speaking from actual use inside shoot houses and live fire exercises. I shoot mostly 10.5"-14.5" guns with and without suppressors. Shooting a 10.5" gun with some of the best suppressors on the market is no fun in close quarters without hearing protection. I've done it, it's a self correcting problem during training. An 8.5" barrel with the average suppressor is still gonna put you in the 130-140 decibel range, that's LOUD, especially in close quarters. One can argue auditory exclusion during a stressful situation but the average person who is not use to training in close quarters can and most likely will unravel after the flash, concussion, and sound hits them. I'd rather run a suppressed .45 with subsonics and a Tac light or a scattergun if your not worried about noise period.
