Did anyone else go to Dick's Sporting Goods to pick up the $350 deal on an 700 ADL? If you got it before 5 AM, the $100 rebate is junk, and you just paid $450 for it. Faulty advertising?

I emailed Dick's customer service. I got the usual BS about being a valued customer, but read the terms and conditions of the rebate. I guess I have to go farther up the food chain. I will try the route you suggested and see where it takes me.

What is the date on your receipt?
As long as you bought the gun on 11/23/2012 beginning at 12am you are good to go.

I'm now sorta glad I bought mine during the October deal. I may have missed out on about $20 additional savings ( because there were a couple other available rebates then), but at least I missed out on this shit storm...and I'm already shooting mine.

I would suggest using the online form as it sounds like it would be to your benefit. Throw the form from your local store out, they obviously corrected the deficiency in the most up to date online version.

WELL, if one is lead to believe that the rebate is valid at the time of purchase, completes the tranaction, then finds out the the rebate is not valid because it was purchased too early, it is a $100 mistake. I had to wait for a NICS check after 6AM, even though I have a MI CPL. (Dick's policy) I got the form at 11AM when I picked the rifle up, which was another 70 mile round trip for a BS policy.
BTW, I just got off the phone with Dick's customer service. It seems that there are TWO DIFFERENT rebate forms floating around. CS is emailing me the one with a 12AM start time, in case I get denied on the one I sent in.

I have a Tango 51, a Surgeon Remedy in 338, a Surgeon Scalpel in 6.5 CM, and a half dozen other Remington 700s that have been accurized (mostly by Krieger when re-barreling). I was buying these as an inexpensive way to get a couple of rifles to leave at my house in AZ for P-dogs and varmints.

Call your state Corporation Commission if Dick wants to be a dick about it and they will investigate it for free. Some folks down the road had problems with a major Insurance Company several years ago and the end result was the insurance company paid the claims or there license to do business in this state could be revoked. The Dicks store around here is noted for pulling a fast one on people.I don't care who you are or what you say $100 is a lot of money. If you have plenty of money then stay out of this or try to help. There seems to be a bunch of bitchy little girls an all forums who do nothing but run there mouth and give bad advice when they should just shut the fuck up. MM

i think some of us are getting all worked up over this rebate thing for no reason .
i fought the crowds and picked up one 700 adl and while i was waiting at the gun counter for my turn at bat i read the rebate and it clearly said it was good from 5am-2pm on the 23rd only .
i asked the manager about the rebate and was informed that the rebate forms were made weeks ago (when dicks were planning on opening at 5am on the 23rd but because of other stores deciding to open earlier at midnight dicks sporting goods decided to follow suite and open at midnight ) as such rebate forms were already printed to be good from 5am-2pm manager said the rebates would most certainly be honored .
had nothing to do with trying to be dishonest just a simple thing of the store opening earlier for black Friday.
