I see that Battle Comp offers a AAC 51T Modification Service, but the pictures on the website shows a YHM quick disconnect. Can the AAC Supperssors use a YHM QD? I just called Battle Comp up and they said they are only doing AAC Mods now.

Does anyone know if the Battle Comp is welded or threaded onto the quick disconnect suppressor adapter? I ask because I need to know if the Battle Comp is threaded on, can it be "timed" with shims so the logo is at the 6 o'clock position as it should be if I were attaching the Battle Comp to the barrel?
Also, I know with YHM quick disconnects, the tip of the quick disconnect sits on a baffle inside the suppressor. From what YHM has told me this helps keep the suppressor more stabalized.

Re: Battle Comp Modification Service

You send in an AAC mount to BC. They cut the tines off, turn down and thread the exterior of the tine base in front of the acme threads, and then thread on a BC body. That is then welded around the complete circumference with a tiny, beautiful weld. It looks like it was born that way. As for timing, that is achieved just like a normal AAC brake or any other brake/comp - with selected shims between the barrel shoulder and the back of the mount.

Hmmmm, I wonder if I can find someone who is good with a lathe for a YHM QD? Instead of welding the Battle Comp to the QD, I would think that Rock Set or Red Loctite would work.
It sounds simple enough.
